Overview

Emily first joined BC&C as an intern in the summer of 2021 and subsequently returned as a Trainee Solicitor in September 2022. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as a Court Liaison Officer under the Convention against Torture and Non-refoulement Claims Scheme at the Duty Lawyer Service.

Emily obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics from the University of Hong Kong. Guided by her aspiration to become a lawyer, she subsequently pursued further legal studies, gaining her law degree from Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK in 2021. She returned to the University of Hong Kong to complete her Postgraduate Certificate in Laws in 2022, wherein she graduated with Distinction in Matrimonial Practice and Procedure.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Emily has travelled abroad to further her learning experience. This has included a semester studying at King’s College London, a linguistics field trip to London, and a cultural exchange trip with different universities in Poland and Germany.
