Normal service resumes for INTA

Hong Kong, 6 May 2022: A varied programme of networking, business development sessions and keynote speeches added up to a busy week at the INTA Annual Meeting in Washington DC for Boase Cohen & Collins Partner Susan Cheung.

The in-person and virtual hybrid event marked a welcome return to normality for the International Trademark Association after the Covid-19 pandemic. “This was the first Annual Meeting we could physically attend since Boston three years ago, so it was a welcome opportunity to catch up with many old friends and business contacts,” says Susan, who was among thousands of delegates to attend.

New features at the five-day gathering – the world’s biggest global brand, trademark and intellectual property conference – included INTAconnect, a digital appointment and scheduling system designed to enhance networking, and BD Excursions, offering delegates business development opportunities while visiting Washington’s historic sites. Regular features included workshops, forums and the Table Topics small group gatherings over breakfast or lunch.

Susan heads BC&C’s growing intellectual property practice, where she focuses on trademarks, designs, patents and copyright, while she also handles civil and commercial litigation, information technology matters and trade secrets. She has been an INTA member since 2001.

INTA is the global association of trademark owners and professionals dedicated to supporting trademarks and related IP in order to protect consumers and to promote fair and effective commerce. INTA’s members comprise nearly 6,500 organisations from over 185 countries. Next year’s Annual Meeting will be held in Singapore.
