A poignant day for retiring Teddy Lam

Hong Kong, 28 March 2024: Everyone at BC&C wishes our Partner Teddy Lam a long and happy retirement after 26 years with the firm. He officially said goodbye today at a staff party held in his honour.

“While it is obviously an emotional day, I leave with many treasured memories and am proud to have played a part in the firm’s growth and success,” says Teddy, who was presented with a gold plaque to mark the occasion. “I have made many friends here and will, of course, keep in touch and drop in occasionally to say hello. In the meantime, I look forward to spending more time with my family.”

After initially practising as a physiotherapist in Hong Kong and Australia, Teddy took his law degree with the University of London and joined BC&C as a Trainee Solicitor in 1998. He became an Assistant Solicitor in 2000 and a Partner three years later. His core practice areas included insurance and personal injury disputes, medical negligence, criminal cases, civil and commercial litigation and company matters.

Says BC&C Managing Partner Alex Liu: “Teddy has been an integral part of the firm for many years, a valued colleague and good friend to many of our staff. We wish him all the best as he enjoys a well-deserved rest from the law profession.”
